Install Privas AI on SquareSpace

Embed the AI representative on a SquareSpace

SquareSpace allows you to embed external content using the Embed feature. You can use this capability to add the Privas AI representative to your website without editing any code.

This guide explains how to embed the Privas AI widget inside a SquareSpace page so visitors can interact with your assistant directly from your site.

Why this matters

Embedding the assistant in Squarespace:

  • Makes your AI representative available to visitors
  • Keeps communication consistent
  • Requires no theme modification

This affects only the page where you place the Code block.

It does not change your design template, SEO structure, commerce settings, or member areas.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Access to your Squarespace account
  • Your Privas AI Website Widget Embed Code

You can copy the embed code from your Privas AI Domain Dashboard.

Add the Assistant to a Specific Page

Step 1 — Open Your Website

  1. Log in to Squarespace.
  2. On your Account Dashboard, click Website for the site where you want to install the assistant.

Step 2 — Enter Edit Mode

  1. In the left-side menu, click Website.
  2. On the site preview, click Edit at the top.

Step 3 — Add a Code Block

  1. Hover over a section where you want the assistant available.
  2. Click Add Block on the left side.

  1. In the Block Selector menu, choose Code.

Step 4 — Paste the Embed Code

  1. In the Code block toolbar, click the Pencil icon to edit.

  1. In the Content window, paste your Privas AI embed code.
  2. Ensure:
    • The editor is set to HTML
    • The Display Source Code toggle is turned off
  3. Click Save.

Step 5 — Save and Publish

  1. Click Save on the top-left of the editor.
  2. Publish your changes.
  3. Refresh your website.

You should now see the chat icon appear on that page.

What This Installation Does — and Does Not Do

This installation:

✔ Displays your assistant on the selected page
✔ Loads securely
✔ Works independently from your Squarespace tools

It does NOT:

✘ Modify your template layout
✘ Change navigation menus
✘ Affect checkout or payments
✘ Alter SEO settings

The widget simply connects your Squarespace page to your configured Privas AI domain.

Optional — Install Globally on All Pages

If you want the assistant to appear on every page:

  1. Go to Settings in your Squarespace dashboard.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Select Code Injection.
  4. Paste the Privas AI embed code inside the Header section.
  5. Click Save.

This loads the assistant across your entire website.

It affects all pages.

It does not change your layout, content, or business configuration.

If the Widget Does Not Appear

  • Confirm the full embed code was pasted
  • Make sure the page was saved and published
  • Clear your browser cache and refresh
