This Disclaimer applies to Privas AI, operated by Privas Intelligence Ltd. It summarises limitations that are set out in full in sections 7, 11, 16, and 17 of our Terms of Service.

Where this page and the Terms of Service differ, the Terms of Service govern. This page exists to state the important points plainly.

1. AI output can be wrong

Responses are generated by a probabilistic language model. They can be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date, and they can be wrong while sounding confident.

An assistant answers from the knowledge sources the operating organisation supplied. It does not draw on general world knowledge, and it does not verify the accuracy of the sources it was given.

Do not rely on an answer for anything consequential without checking it against an authoritative source or a person.

2. Figures, quotations, and calculations

Where an assistant produces a number — a price, a premium, a rate, a calculation — treat it as indicative only.

It is not a quotation, not an offer, and not binding on the organisation operating the assistant unless that organisation confirms it through its normal process.

3. No professional advice

Nothing produced by an assistant is legal, financial, medical, insurance, tax, or other regulated professional advice, and no professional relationship is created by using one.

4. If you are a visitor talking to an assistant

The assistant belongs to the organisation whose website you are on, not to Privas AI. That organisation chose what it knows and how it behaves.

Questions, complaints, or decisions about what an assistant told you are matters for that organisation. Privas AI supplies the software.

5. If you are an organisation deploying an assistant

You are responsible for reviewing output and for any reliance placed on it, by you or by your visitors. Output quality depends primarily on the knowledge sources you supply.

You are responsible for telling your visitors they are interacting with an AI system, and for any disclaimer your sector requires. See our Acceptable Use Policy, section 4.

6. Service availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we do not offer a service level commitment on self-service plans.

We depend on third-party providers, including AI model, authentication, payment, and hosting providers. Their outages affect us and are outside our control.

We do not currently operate a backup or data restoration service. Keep your own copies of every knowledge source you upload. This is stated plainly in section 11 of the Terms of Service and is not a formality.

7. Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited as set out in section 17 of the Terms of Service, or in your Master Service Agreement where you have one. Those limits do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Updates

This disclaimer may be updated. Changes are published on this page with a revised date.
